Limited Cash Flow Valuation of Aggregate Reserves Discounted Cash Flow Valuation â⬠Proved Developed Reserves Discounted Cash Flow Valuation â⬠Proved Undeveloped Reserves Discounted Cash Flow Valuation â⬠Probable Reserves Discounted Cash Flow Valuation â⬠Possible Reserves Question 3 To esteem MW Petroleum we would think about the benefits set up and the alternative bearing resources discretely. The advantages set up comprise of the demonstrated created saves since they are as of now delivering a definite amount of oil and gaseous petrol, just as the non-creating resources as though grew quickly (esteemed as the NPV of free incomes). The consumptions related with the demonstrated created saves are likewise known with some assurance since they comprise basically of support and substitution costs that follow experience based standards. The NPV is dependent upon item value hazard because of unpredictability in oil and gas costs, just as vulnerability with respect to the rebate rate. The choices comprise of the postponement in creating demonstrated lacking, plausible and potential stores. On account of these benefits, critical improvement costs must be brought about to adapt the stores. On account of the likely and potential saves, the evaluated incomes are as of now hazard weighted to represent the vulnerability in producible stores. The choices on these stores are timing alternatives. By joining unpredictability in ware costs after some time, Apache can esteem the capacity to defer capital uses to build up the stores until instability in product costs comes back to recorded levels. It is significant that Apache have some degree of sureness with respect to least likely item costs after some time since these are seemingly perpetual undertakings. These choices yield a higher incentive than the DCF valuation (of the total incomes). Since we are thinking about these stores as potential ventures in years five through seven, we utilize the Black-Scholes model to esteem the alternatives. The choice qualities are comprehensive of the undertaking, I. e. not simply the choice alone. Question 4: The advantages hidden the choices are very unsafe as exhibited by the rising instability introduced for the situation. Since Apache was basically worried about the oil resources, we utilized the most noteworthy ongoing oil value instability of half. Since instability is such a driver of alternative worth, we additionally played out an affectability examination to assess how the activities in addition to choices would be esteemed at various income levels just as with contrasting unpredictability. Question 5 Based on the estimation of all the call choices determined being referred to 4, on the off chance that the deal experiences, at that point Apache Corporation would not practice any of the choices early. In doing as such, they would bring about critical budgetary hardship while bearing the danger of profoundly unpredictable hidden resources. Given the potential money related strain of this securing, as joined by the expense of capital, Apache would profit by watching costs create after some time. Our answer depends on the unpredictability which is accepted at half. In light of the affectability examination it doesn't show up Apache would endeavor to build up the potential saves inside the 5-multi year time period.

Surviving Midterms
Surviving Midterms Iâve been MIA these past few weeks due to a second round of midterm examsâ"I apologize for that! But I am back, better than ever! My midterms these past few weeks were definitely stressful, to say the least, but I want to share some study tips and habits that helped me get through exam season. 1. Attend lectures A big part of being independent in college is keeping yourself accountable to attend every class on your schedule. Itâs easy to decide to skip class one day because youâre feeling a bit tired or not in the mood. Stay motivated and attend lectures to ensure that you are receiving all the information you need for your exams! 2. Talk to your professor during office hours Office hours is the best thing to ever exist, in my opinion. A lot of the times, I have questions or concerns about lecture material that I would prefer my professors clarify for me. There is a solution to this: Attend office hours! Office hours is a time when professors clear up their schedule for a few hours so that students can talk one-on-one with them about lecture material or anything else on their minds. I have developed great relationships with my professors during office hours, so I highly recommend attending a few of these! 3. Create your own study guide It may seem like a lot of work, but creating your own study guide can test your knowledge more efficiently. Writing things down in your own words can also help you better understand what you need to know on exams. There are other resources, like Quizlet or Anki, that can help with memorization and repetition! 4. Stay well-rested This is something a lot of college students disregard, but it is crucial to your performance on exams and in school, overall. Maintaining healthy habits, like eating well, getting enough sleep, and exercising frequently, will all contribute to your success in school. 5. Donât procrastinate Last but not least, do NOT procrastinate. A lot of us, myself included, have this issue. Itâs easy to put off work if there are no deadlines coming up. During this time, digest and learn the exam material little-by-little so that when exam day approaches, you will have been familiar with the information already. These are just a few tips that can help you on exams and classes, in general. Keep pushing through and you will reap the benefits soon after! Kripa Class of 2020 I'm majoring in Psychology, minoring in Spanish, and pursuing a pre-dental track. It seems like Iâm all over the place, but thatâs what I like about college! I get to choose to study what Iâm interested in, and Iâm happy to be doing just that at Illinois.

The Journey Of One s Life Begins And Ends With The Self...
The journey of oneââ¬â¢s life begins and ends with the selfââ¬â¢s pursuit of personal identity, to answer the question ââ¬Å"Who Am Iâ⬠. The self attempts to sustain a stable association with its varying selves and the external world by constructing identities that are identified and explained through the roles, social comparisons, successes and failures, and judgments of others in oneââ¬â¢s external environment. The self is highly focused on itself, how it presents its self to others, and the impressions it makes upon them. The interaction between self-concept, self-esteem, self-efficiency, and the external environment evokes an outward representation of the self in the social world in which frequently commands affirmation, recognition, understanding, and readjustment. Social settings affect self-awareness and discrepancies in the environment (social status, age, gender) inspire distinct behaviors lead by self-interests and biases. Because the self is focused on how i t appears to others, it reshapes and redefines itself to fit various situations (Myers, 2010). Further understanding of the self is offered in the social experiences that have affected my personal development. The Self in the Social World An individualââ¬â¢s sense of self helps manage oneââ¬â¢s thoughts and actions (Myers, 2010). Information that is processed in reference to the self is generally remembered better than information that is less personally relevant (the self-reference effect) (Myers). Life in a Nutshell Black Girl, A Short Story by Sembene...
What exactly is an ideal lifestyle? The answer is different for every person because some people desire more and some desire less. As the protagonist, she indulgences in the thought of moving away from her hometown in Africa where she has been working as a maid for the last few years for a rich white family. Her vision of the perfect lifestyle is living in France, where she imagines herself making millions and bathing in fortune. Unfortunately, things donââ¬â¢t always appear as they seem. The story illustrates that when one thinks of their ideal lifestyle they mainly rely on their personal experience whichâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦After spending a few months in France, she begins to realize it isnââ¬â¢t quite as beautiful as first imagined. In Africa, white skin is rare and exclusive to the wealthy but in France its black skin that is rare but is no way associated to wealth. Popular Media Free Essays
Running head: MASS MEDIA AND POPULAR AMERICAN CULTURE Mass media and popular American Culture Team B University of Phoenix In the last 50 years the mass media has grown exponentially with the advancement of technology. Our society has come a long way since the telegraph and the newspaper. The most used source of media today is the television. We will write a custom essay sample on Popular Media or any similar topic only for you Order Now In todayââ¬â¢s society over 250 billion hours of television is viewed annually by Americans. Children are exposed to more than 40,000 ads a year, and this number is climbing. Americans as a whole are exposed to thousands of images of sex, crime, advertisements, celebrity news, hidden subliminal messages and much more. Todayââ¬â¢s society is not aware of the negative influences we expose ourselves and our children to on a daily basis. Surprisingly enough, 95% of the media is owned by only 5 companies, which are, Time Warner, Viacom, Vivendi Universal, Walt Disney, and News Corp. These companies own the major entertainment theme parks, movie studios, radio broadcast networks, and sports entertainment. These superior companies also own integrated telecommunications, wireless phones, video game software, electronic media the music industry and more. In earlier years there was diversity in companies, now there are just a few that have the power to influence the minds of your children. When children constantly watch violence and negative images over and over again it becomes traumatic on their psyche. Television is shaping the way young Americans think. Therefore they grow up thinking they have to look a certain way to fit in todayââ¬â¢s society. We need to develop a mind of our own or we will become a culture filled with zombies with low IQââ¬â¢s. As one examines the relationship between the media and popular culture it is evident that the affects of the media has had a great impact. The popular culture before the media was somewhat simple. The pop culture was primarily dictated by the elite and the religious sector. As time progressed pop culture began to be influenced more by certain types of media. One form that had a great impact on pop culture was movable print. Movable print opened the door to mass communication in 15th century by allowing information to be printed for the emerging middle class. This new age in pop culture gave way to the spread of illiteracy and the emergence of trade in the western civilization. As pictorial printing emerged so did the education of the lower classes. This new form of media was mass produced and allowed the door to be open for the mass movement and change in popular culture. The Reformation, led by Martin Luther was the first form of a mass movement influenced by mass communication. Along with this development was the ability to distribute new religious thoughts and ideas the masses, which in turn allowed people to begin to develop individual ideas on religion. As pop culture became more influenced by mass communication, more people learned to read and write. The Reformation can basically be credited to the start of mobilizing the masses and industrialization. As one examines where we are as a society, one can safely say that pop culture is greatly influenced by all forms of media. This idea will explored throughout this paper and how it relates to enculturation. The relationships among the media, advertising and the formation of normative cultural values are very important in the 20th century. Without putting them together to have the success that comes to many movies, business, and some of the top celebrities would make things a lot harder. The media is a good tool if used properly but can as we have seen make things bad for some people and their businesses. At the start the use of the media was to entertain as well as inform. The base ball games started off on the radio and after sometime TV became black and white. Then the idea came that there are people looking at these shows and the thought of advertising came into play. This enhanced television because now not only do you have people being entertained but now you can give ideas that could offer big bucks for business. If in this day and time we did not have the media to inform us as we need to be, how would we know that there is a new cold bug or that the weather is not going to be good on Sunday. The media is a very import to us in the 20th century without it how would things be if they were to go on as they are now. The media was used to inform us that Toyota the car company has several cars having trouble with their gas pedal getting stuck. This was important to know because if not then people all over the world would have had these issues with the cars and not have know that this needed to be fixed right away. But in turn Toyota used the media and advertising to get sales back up after the issues slowed down sales. The haste of technology has impacted our society and helped globalization move a little quicker. Although, the internet may seem to be taken away the personal part of communicating, it has globalized our country by having the opportunity to communicate with other countries around the world. The impact of a growing business is better known as face book. One of the largest most recognized websites that is very helpful in communicating with others around the world. Todayââ¬â¢s popular culture has made face book one of the newest and innovated ways to communicate with friends and family at are long distance. In a way the internet has globalized and helped our country to become one by simply communicating with one other through this known site. Although, it may not be face to face round table discussion but it helps us in all ways possible. Popular culture has made this website a sophisticated site where all can be a part of. However, face book does have its changelings because it takes away from interpersonal communication restrictions. Cheryl stated ââ¬Å"Technologyââ¬â¢s influence on interpersonal relationships is both positive and negative. The important thing to remember in forming a virtual relationship is not to lose sight of the fact that it is virtual reality. It is also important to maintain real relationships as well to keep a proper balanceâ⬠. I believe this is true to the fact because of this technology people tend to forget about the true meaning of interpersonal communication, meaning communicating face to face. Everyone has their own opinions about both the positives and the negatives of mass media and itsââ¬â¢ affects on popular culture. In the end it all comes down to the individualââ¬â¢s values and their perception on what is current and popular to them. It is the parentââ¬â¢s responsibility to teach their children about their heritage and culture, but sometimes that does not happen, and the child has to decide for his or her self what mass media and popular culture is good or bad in the aspect of the affects it has on them. Education has and always be the defining factor for our future and the future of mass media and pop culture. References Herr, Ph. D. , N. (). Television Health . Lucy Darby practice Essay Example
Lucy Darby practice Essay Willy recalls his sons teenage years as an idyllic past. What evidence is there to show that the past is not as idyllic as Willy imagines it to be? Willy Loman is a confused character who is in denial about his past, present and future. He imagines his past as an idyllic time, spent with his promising teenage sons Biff and Happy. Biff as a young boy was always Willys favourite son, made obvious to everyone around him. Biff is perceived by Willy as the golden boy, great at sport, a promising place at a top university and the ability to make girls fall to their knees with one look. However, Willy can not seem to recognise that Biff is extremely lazy academically and only cares about his own well-being. Willy: Like a young Hercules-something like that Willy is adamant that Biff has a bright future ahead of himself with a secure place at the University of Virginia. Yet once again Willy disregards the fact that Biff is failing math and will not get a place t the University unless he drastically changes his bad habits which is constantly reminded by Bernard who is mocked as a teenager by Biff and Wily but who goes on to be a successful lawyer. Willy can not understand as Biff gets older why he has not achieved anything out of life, when as a teenager he had such a prosperous future. Willy can not grasp the fact that it is time to let go of the dream he so desperately clings on to for Biff. Willy: I see great things for you kids, I think your troubles are over. Willys unrealistic expectations also affect Happy as a teenager and in later life. Life has never been idyllic for the Lomans as nothing has ever been good enough and each character is constantly striving fro more in life, whether it is more money or more freedom. Happy feels he cannot live up to his older brother Biff and therefore is constantly trying to impress his father with strings of lies. Willy is incapable of recognising Happys neglect as a teenager and presumes he had a happy childhood. However, Happy makes up for his lack of self confidence by making himself available to everyone and anyone. The more risky and attention seeking, the better. He has no proper job besides an assistant to an assistant buyer although he portrays himself as a man very high up the social ladder. Happy: Why dont you bring her, excuse me, miss, do you mind. I sell champagne Happy will do and say anything to make himself look and feel better whether that mean by making up a high paid job, far better than his own and passing it as his own or sleeping with many women. This constant need for self reassure relates back to his teenage years when he had no attention paid to him at all. Biff however endured the opposite affect, whilst having attention on him constantly as a child; he strives for a life on his own where he can make his own decisions. Willy cant bring himself to blame for Happys relentless sex drive and self indulgence and so once again ignores his actions even in adult life, still fully focusing of Biff and his future. Willys perception of his past and his sons life as young boys is far from the truth as Willy is incapable of seeing anything he does not want to and he in so wrapped up in his own thoughts and dreams. This however only puts more pressure of Biff as he has and always will be in the spot light, constantly being praised or criticized by his father. As a teenager Biff always wanted to please his father. Biff: When I take off my helmet, that touchdown is for you Willy lost this strong relationship with Biff after being caught with the woman. When Biff caught his father with his mistress, Biff lost all the faith and respect he once had for Willy and lost the determination he once possessed to achieve in life and strive for his goals. Biff lost the will to impress his father and blames Willys affair and high expectations for his confusion and lack of direction in adult life. Biff: If I strike oil Ill write you a cheque. Meantime forget Im alive This is the first time Willy is able to see what he and his family have actually become. All Willys life he had clung to his hopes and dreams of Biff and his successful future only to realize that it was all too late and was in fact never going to happen. Linda is throughout the script pushed to the back of Willys mind. However she is the backbone. Without Linda Willy would have lost self-will along time before. Its only when even Linda cannot cope anymore with Willy slow mental breakdown that Willy finally realizes he has been wrong, this is when he makes his final decision of committing suicide. This is when Willy finally realises that even his past was not even as he had imagined his whole life which was the only thing that gave him the determination to keep striving for his impossible dream.
